Thank you for your interest in the EdExploreSRQ grant opportunity.

1. Please DO NOT apply for spring explorations before November 29. Applications for January-May 2022 will be reviewed AFTER November 29 . If you submit an application for a spring exploration in the fall, your application will kept on file, but will NOT be reviewed until AFTER November 29. 
2. Funding will not be granted for explorations that have already taken place. 

1. Reach out to the provider about the exploration you selected to secure a date and confirm all the details. You will need to include a copy of the email exchange between you and the provider showing that the date has been confirmed.
2. Download and complete the budget form (located in the "Required Attachments" section below). If there is no cost associated with your exploration, please indicated this on the form. Upload the completed form to your application.
3. Download the principal’s signature page (located in the "Required Attachments" section below) and upload the signed copy to your application.  
4. Complete an eGAF to the Grant Program Specialist at Sarasota County Schools http://scs-webapps1.sarasota.k12.fl.us/grants
5. Complete all sections of the application. Once your request has been successfully submitted, you will receive email notification.

1. Each submitted application will be reviewed by the EdExploreSRQ advisory committee and recommended for approval or denial. 
2. If the application is approved, funding will be sent directly to principals. 
3. Please allow for at least ONE MONTH for this review, approval, and funding process to take place. Plan the timing of your application and your exploration accordingly. 
4. Preference is given to Title 1 schools.
5. Notification of approval/denial will be sent via email to the teacher.
6. If approved, grant funding, along with reporting guidelines will be released directly to the school for use by the teacher for the exploration.

1. Number of students and teachers who participated in the exploration.
2. Upload the final invoices from the provider to show how the grant funds were used.
3. Any unspent funds over $100 must be returned to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. 
4. Upload pictures/videos or provide a link to where these are posted.
5. Share a story from a teacher and/or student on how they were impacted by this exploration. This may be posted on social media or the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s website.
